Hello, clients , prospective clients or just passers by! I wanted to tell you a little about myself and our company.
I have
lived in the Seacoast since 1984 and currently reside in Dover with
my wife Kelley and two children.
I graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 1987 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation I went directly into real estate and worked for a commercial firm in Portsmouth. My first day on the job was October 15, 1987 and we all know what happened on October 19th, the stock market crashed. Well, needless to say the real estate market followed the stock market lower and my decision to enter real estate looked ill-fated. I stuck with it though, and in 1989 started working with a regional banking concern. My responsibilities with the bank included inspecting, managing and subsequently selling bank owned real estate, most of which was multi-family property. Over a five year period working in this capacity, I managed and sold over 400 units in four New England states. In 1993, as the economy started to improve, I came back to work in the Seacoast area and decided to specialize in the management and sales of multi-family properties. In 1997, I founded Nelson Real Estate, "The Multi-Family Specialists". The company's goal is simple; to have comprehensive knowledge of our market, to offer our clients and customers superior service and to use our success to help improve our community. We service the communities of Portsmouth, Rye, Greenland, Dover, Rollinsford, Newmarket, Exeter, Somersworth and Southern Maine.
I am
assisted in the office by my associate Tom Toye.
Tom
is
an alum of the University of Massachusetts where he excelled
as a track
and field athlete and earned a bachelors degree
in mechanical engineering. After years of practicing engineering
and pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors Tom joined the Nelson Real
Estate team in February of 2006. He owns and manages a large portfolio
of multi-family and commercial property in Southern New Hampshire.
As a CCIM Candidate, Tom will continue to expand his knowledge
base in the commercial investment field. Tom lives in Dover with
his wife,
also a Realtor, and active real estate investor. They are proud
parents of their infant daughter.
